30 Before 30
The following is my “bucket list”, or rather since I’m not dying any time soon (that I know of), my list of 30 things I want to accomplish before I turn 30. The idea, inspired from the website of an acquaintance of mine I met through the Greek system at RIT (Ashley Hennigan), is one that I’ve previously written but never published. On to the list, in no particular order…
- Read all of Tom Clancy’s books
- Become a CPA
- Buy my own house
- Read the Bible
- Travel to Germany, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Russia, Argentina, and China
- Perform comedy at an open mic
- Pay off my credit cards
- Get my Masters in Accounting
- Travel to all 50 States
- Learn to speak German
- Prepare and cook a Turducken
- Learn to sail
- Run a marathon
- Compete in a SCCA Solo event
- Join the board of a non-profit organization
- Spend a week volunteering at a Hole In The Wall Camp
- Watch all of Paul Newman’s and Clint Eastwood’s movies
- Spend New Year’s in Times Square (even though I know its miserable)
- Get my firearms permit, hunting licence, and hunt for deer
- Ice skate at Rockefeller Center
- Attend a professional racing school
- Act like a redneck at the Daytona 500 and at the Talladega 400
- Learn to play the piano, then write and compose my own rock opera starring Jason Segel
- Take a famous celebrity out to dinner
- Go as the Blues Brothers on Halloween with Mr. Sean Murray
- Patent an idea
- Box in an amateur bout
- Map my family tree
- See Metallica, Elton John, Billy Joel, Snoop Dogg, Phish, Pearl Jam, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Gov’t Mule, and many others perform live in concert
- Get published for research in my field
